Are you interested in owning your own forum but not sure how to create one? Well, you can own a forum easily without having any technical or programming skills. There are many web host out there that provide you with the forum installation feature. The common forum installation they provided are the forum template from vBulletin, phpBB, Smf etc.

For me, i use Syskay Web Hosting to create my own forum. I've my forum installed with just a single click and it takes only less than 10 seconds. After you have created your own forum, you can add more categories and manage your forum easily by login as administrator. You should have no worry managing the forums as it is very easy and pretty much like using a pre-set application.

After purchasing a webhosting account with a host that provides cpanel, login to your cpanel account, then scroll down to fantastico, there are so many installers listed on the fantastico.

Chose from the forum category where you will see smf, vbulletin, phbb etc, fill the little form with your desired information and in less than 2 mins your forum is ready.

For example lets use the SMF forum to illustrate this.
1 - open your Cpanel control panel
2 - click on Fantastico
3 - select SMF from the list
4 - click on "New Installation"
5 - choose the domain name from the drop down menu (note - only if you have subdomains or addon domains)
6 - choose the directory you want SMF to reside under (note - only if you want to install it in a directory type the directory name, otherwise leave it blank for the root folder)
7 - fill in the admin username (most people use "admin" but feel free to choose any username) and the password
8 - choose the nickname under which you'll be posting and fill in your email address
9 - fill in all other necessary fields
10 - click install - on the next screen click finish installation (if there are no errors) and you're done.

Possible errors - warning directory exists "images" - solution - login via FTP or Cpanel->File Manager naviagate to public_html and delete the directory - then start over
- warning file exists ".htaccess" - solution - login via FTP or Cpanel->File Manager naviagate to public_html and delete the file - then start over
- can not install under "domain or subdomain" there is already an installation that is there - contact me and i'll help fix it.
